If there are no other errors being reported by the Ruby (Sapphire COMMS Error, etc.), reboot the HPV20. Log a support ticket if there are other errors or if you are getting errors on your computer when running Update PLU. Call support if the Sapphire/Ruby system, credit or debit and/or gasoline are down.

The HPV20 is either a black VeriFone V950 “box” in the “Sapphire stack” under the front counter or a Dell computer in the “Sapphire stack” under the front counter.

If you have the VeriFone V950: The power button is the purplish button in the lower right corner of the V950. Hold the power button in until the green power light goes off. (The yellow LAN light may remain on.) Leave the V950 off for 30 seconds then turn press and release the power button to turn it back on. In less than 10 minutes, the HPV-20 not available message should disappear from the Ruby. Call support if the message does not disappear after 10 minutes.

If you have the Dell computer: The power button is on the front in the lower right side of the computer. Hold the power button in until the power light goes off. Leave the power off for 30 seconds then press and release the power button to turn it back on. In less than 10 minutes, the HPV-20 not available message should disappear from the Ruby. Call support if the message does not disappear after 10 minutes.
